Uncommon Threads is a regional group of fiber artists working in the contemporary art quilt medium whose mission is:
- To provide a forum for regional art quilters to share their ideas in an atmosphere of creative dialog, networking, and mutual inspiration.

- To participate in the promotion, appreciation, and recognition of art quilting as a visual art form.
