<p><strong>ThreadLines 2008 is a juried exhibition of art quilts </strong>sponsored by <a href="http://uncommthreads.org/blog/" target="_blank">Uncommon Threads</a> at the <a href="http://art.missouristate.edu/gallery.php">Missouri State University Art &amp; Design Gallery</a>, September 5-29, 2008. The gallery is located in downtown Springfield and in the heart of the First Friday Art Walk, an event that draws thousands of regional visitors.</p>
<p>Jason Pollen was the juror and also awarded prizes to the following artists:</p>

<p>The exhibition was juried by <strong>Jason Pollen</strong>, Professor and Chairman of the fiber department at Kansas City Art Institute.  Mr. Pollen is an internationally known textile artist who has exhibited world wide and currently serves as President of the Surface Design Association. A separate exhibit at the gallery will feature Pollen’s work in conjunction with the ThreadLines 2008 exhibit.</p>
<p>Mr. Pollen will provide comments about the show at the opening reception and will place award prizes totaling $1000 for Best of Show, Juror&#8217;s Choice, and First, Second, and Third place.</p>
